Woops, you are right a couple N's went missing from some of the "ands" - the count is right, just "undid" a couple by accident.

-ames and -ipper rounded the hill at the top of the pasture * it
was little used now, and overgrown with weeds and scru- * to ma-e
their daily chec- on the farm's -oundaries and fences. The two
of them would have made a lovely pastoral painting, the
still*handsome, -lue*eyed, tall and craggy old farmer with his white
shoc- of windswept hair, and the intense and purposeful low*to*the*ground
-lac- and white -order Collie, moving rapidly -ut off*-ilter on his
three legs.
