    Double Done!

    LH,

    One gallon of lemonade.

I know the hazards of gardening with a purpose.

I took a pair of post hole diggers, went around the stumps then cut the roots out. It was time consuming, but I did get a little arm work out.

    Have fun with planting!

    DONE!

    Karen.

I saw a guy on PBS make a soup out of chard and tomatoes.

Looked good.....The church across the street has a guy come in and give away veggie from his garden. On Saturday I ventured over and traded some cold sodas for a few tomatoes, zucchini and banana peppers.

I took the tomatoes and peppers put them thru the food processor and made a pot of chili with them.

Nothing beats the flavors of fresh produce when you cook!

I put on Hounddog on the juke box and it seem to have woken up the neighborhood.

Yes, there's nothing like garden ripe produce, especially tomatoes! That most local of "buy local" movement that is now trendy!

Did you have that chard? We haven't frozen it in a while, wanted to know how it survived.

This weekend I think we're pulling the chard and doing the lot of it.

I haven't tried it yet, but will before the weekend, and will let you know how it goes!
