Well, we're back from the vets. He said the fatty tumor has ruptured! He gave him rimadyl for pain and an antibiotic to clear up the infection/inflamation. He said it should clear up in about about week. I f it doesn't, he will have to remove it. I didn't know they could rupture! And he asked me if I wanted to hear something gross He said he had one on his back that had ruptured just recently too but it was much, much smaller that Taggerts. I told him I thought he and Taggert looked alike. They are both taking the same antiobiotic but Taggert takes two doses a day and he takes 3. He also said that while this isn't extremely unusual, it doesn't happen real often. And that as usual my dogs have to come up with something more unusual. Thanks for the prayers!

Yes, a human I know had the same thing happen, only on his chest. Hope Tag feels better soon, give him a kiss on his shaggy head for me!

Just catching up on this news, glad all seems well. Heal up, now, Taggart!

Lacey has a fatty tumor on her side, so far we just keep watch on it. I did NOT know they can rupture!

Prayers being said that Taggert gets back to his old self soon. Hugs to you both. Just sure you've been worried about him - we always do when they are sick.
