Oh, I am so very sorry.

Rest in peace, dearest darling beloved Chestnut, at the Bridge.

Hugs and prayers and tears, Sandie and Dom and kitties and doggies,

    Death thought about it.
CATS, he said eventually. CATS ARE NICE.

Rest in peace, handsome one. Know you were loved and send you mom some purrs in her dreams so she knows you are now pain-free.

Dearest beloved Chestnut - Sandie, HUGS. This is just too much.

Rest easy, dear Chestnut - free and happy and healthy at the Bridge, with so many friends waiting for you.

Sandie - not that it matters now - but did anyone figure out what was wrong?

Hug your furbabies and you can comfort each other.

Candace, it was clear that what ever it was, was terminal, so I chose not to spend the money to have an ultrasound. He would have needed anesthesia and wasn't likely to survive that. It was likely cancer - multiple tumors, on liver, spleen etc, and they were bursting and bleeding. The other possibility was liver disease - the anemia - but with so much going on, the original vet thought multiple tumors more likely.

He lost SO much muscle from Saturday today, and was lethargic, extremely low blood pressure.

    Thank you.

Chestnut grew to be a BIG boy, but he was always "Baby Chestnut" to me. His baby photos are in this thread:
