We do know Chestnut was very ill, with a bloated abdomen probably from internal bleeding. The anemia had him so tired he could not even lift his head at the end.

I had him in to a vet on Monday evening. When I got there, I learned they do not allow owners to remain with the pet. I brought my boy back home with me. This morning I hit the phones, asking more details before making an appointment.
