I'm really sorry to hear about Blackie, Liz. It does indeed sound like he was declining and you did the right thing letting him go.

    RIP, sweetheart.

I am really sorry to read about Blackie. It is never easy to let our friends go, but to lose both Redbud and Blackie close together is even more difficult.

RIP Blackie and may you play hard at the RB

And waiting at the Bridge, with Redbud, I'm sure was Phred. And he'll be sure Blackie settles in and finds his place. So sorry, Liz, for your loss. B&L's Mom2 [Phred's sister].

Liz - so sorry to read that you have now lost Blackie - and so soon after losing Redbud too.

RIP Blackie - find Redbud and play hard while you wait for the day when you will be with your Momma again. Peace and hugs to you, Liz.

I just read this thread. I am so sorry your Blackie is gone... but not forgotten. He is no longer suffering but I understand you miss him. Our furry friends mean so much to us. ((Hugs))

I am sorry about your dear Blackie. Maybe Schuyler has extended the RB welcome mat and is his buddy, showing him all the best places at RB. I know your pain, and send my condolences and hugs to you.

Thank you for the kind words. I'm sure Blackie is in great company with all who went before him.

Thanks Karen for help with the pictures. I sure miss the sleeping pile of happy campers.( Redbud & Blackie) It makes me happy to remember
both my boys this way & not as being sick or ailing.

What nice pictures of your sweeties, Liz! Thanks, Karen, for posting them.
