My, you almost didn't make it into this world, Gus. Thanks to the diligence and persistance of your devoted guardian you are here to grace our POTD page. It was sweet that your Mom would come over to clean you and your sister, even though she was unable to nurse you. She almost did not make it either . . . I'm glad your story has a happy ending, but sorry about your other sibling. Hope you have a fun POTD celebration with neck scratching and playing on your tree, sweetheart.

I don't think I've ever seen a goat like you before. You are just stunning. Lucky too, to have such a loving guardian to not give up on you and get you safely in the world. I'm sorry you lost a sibling but so glad your sis and mommy are ok. I hope you are all enjoying your special day together. Maybe having a few extra treats today, eh?

Survivor!

Hi Gus! Happy Pet of the Day to you, and to your goat mommy Danika and sister Faith, too!
What a sweet, utterly precious little one you were, and what a handsome big boy you've grown up to be!
What a harrowing start at life you had, Gus, and I can only imagine how frightening a night that was for you and your family! I'm so very sorry to hear your one sibling didn't make it, despite your human's valiant efforts. But blessedly, thanks to your guardian's unwavering devotion, you and your mom Danika, and sister Faith, survived! And oh, how sweet a sight that must have been, mommy Danika cleaning and watching over you and Faith, even if she was unable to feed you! That's what I call a team effort, with the happiest of endings!
What a sweet and loving best friend your family has in you, Gus! You're one brave and courageous boy, a fighter and a survivor of the highest order, and so very deserving of our Pet of the Day honors!
Thanks to your guardian for sharing your very touching, life affirming story with us all. It was a joy getting to you and your family, having the chance to pay tribute to the very special boy that you are, and all that you mean to them!

So sorry to read about your poor momma's hard time giving birth. I was really sad to read how one of your siblings didn't make it. But I was happy to read that your momma survived. Happy POTD, big guy, enjoy it to the max!
