It turns out that Kallie was a rescue named Patches. She was rescued by my neighbor's son about a year ago, the neighbor with the horses and cattle and run a bull riding farm. They keep the cats outside and have 8 others. I ran into her today and asked her if the cat was hers. She had wondered if she had taken up at my place because she hadn't seen much of her.
I told her she had wanted in and I thought she was being harassed by the long-haired Siamese Tomcat. She said that was likely since he is a mean cat. Kallie was always looking over her shoulder while she was eating. She can't catch him to fix him. The cats are rescues and aren't mousers. She feeds them too well. Her words.
She said Kallie was a sweet cat.So sweet she can't stand up to a mean cat. Which also explains her hesitance. Used to occasional scritches, but not to loving. She'll adapt.
She didn't ask for her back so I guess it's okay.I'm going to try and find out her approximate age.
I like the name Kallie. And she's not being harassed by a mean old Tom.![]()
