She will let me pet her before she eats. It's actually a requirement.I must pet her and give her chin and face scritches before she'll eat.
She's not argumentative, bossy, or growling, so I'll let her make her social adjustments at her own pace.I think Jane and she have been engaging in horseplay in the back room. There is a lot of tufts of white fur on the floor. Or she just sheds in clumps.

I'm sure that in time she'll come out of her shell and will eventually want more pets and scritches from you. Even though I adopted Ziggy when she only about 8 weeks old, it still took her about 3 years to really come out of her shell. Now she demands to be petted and can be very vocal about it at times.
