I was sad to learn of the passing of your predecessor, your Mom's "1st," her beloved Misty, Cat of the Day, Oct. 5, 1998. You had some mighty big paw prints to fill, sweetheart. But what a wonderful wonderful job you're doing, helping her heart to mend, giving your Mom the OK to open up her home and heart to another most deserving kitty. Yes, that makes you one VERY special furkid for sure! And best of all she loves you unconditionally, just the way you are, and it's clear you love her back every bit as much! And I know Misty is looking down on you both each and every day from the Rainbow Bridge, sending you both her love and cheering you on!

No one can blame you for resisting going into that port-o-prison carrier, Autumn! Most kitties aren't thrilled with that prospect! My suggestion would be to your mom, if she hasn't yet, to try one of those soft carriers that zipper open along the top, down the sides. I have a rescued feral who fought me all the day, trying to get him through the front door of a hard case! But the soft case worked like a charm! Initially I just left it open near his favorite spot, with a few treats in it, and before long he was napping in it! Maybe you'll come to love one too!
