I have to go along with second hand stores or better yet are the garage sales. My friend makes it an event every Saturday morning and the things she finds are incredible, from furniture to toys, electrical appliances in new condition etc etc. She just bought a set of dressers for $75.00- they were used about a month and the people changed their minds and bought others that matched better. They look as new as if they had just come from a furniture store. This is just one example of her finds and good deals. She has collected some amazing stuff over the years. No junk, all great stuff and at great prices.
