We have the Dyson Animal and I just love it!! My boyfriend got it online (not sure where, but he is an e-bay guy), it was refurbished and we've had it for about 3 years now. It still works great! I do have to get the hair out of the brushes sometimes. But that doesn't bother me. It's just too bad it won't do the vacuuming for me.
