Could I just have ginger ale, please. I've had a headache since early this morning.

Oh my doG - someone please give me some aspirin and let me go back to bed. Didn't get to bed until 1:30am from my retirement party at a local sports bar. Drink, eat, drink some more, eat some more.....I just can't partee like I used to. And the thing is that my BFH partied along with us right to the end. It felt kind of weird.

    Happy weekend everyone. Zzzzzzz

Sounds like a good day for you to grab a furry friend and crawl back into bed. You'll have to have another party without BFH after it is truly over!

Yes Maggie, there really is, and I can attest to that. It will be 6 years next month since I last worked, and officially retired in October of the same year. After 22 years with the same company and the same b.s. day after day, I can truly say I loved the song title Take This Job and Shove It.

Hope you're enjoying your peaceful and private Saturday.

Ellie, I've been here 22 years, and the company it has become is not pleasant for me. We may soon be in a position where I can go in a VERY different direction, and the amount of the paycheck won't be as much of an issue; I will go in a heartbeat. I just hope it works out.

Barkeep, my usual please, and I brought some nut snacks for the party! Slick, have another drink!

Nice big pot of tea for a Sunday evening, anyone want some? Chai or regular?

P.S. Hint for honey bear safety - usually when a plastic "honey bear" is almost empty, I'll use some warm water to rinse it out, and then use that sweetened water in my tea. Well, folks, do NOT do this with still boiling hot water - bear rapidly deforms! RIP honey bear.
