Cute pictures. Of course the cats would decide to play with simple things like pipe cleaners. Mine love them too. I would bend them into circles or make spiders out of them. They eventually wore them out because they loved them so much. Callie thinks she's a big cat.LOL

The only "bought" toys my cats like are catnip mice. Other than that, paper bags, boxes, plastic bottle caps, or pencils are what they consider "toys".

At least you know you don't need to spend a fortune on cat toys! It looks like they're having a blast with the pipe cleaners... Well who wouldn't?

Cat toys are made for people to buy something for the cats - the cats, in general, seem to prefer the bag it comes home in, the box it came out of ... etc. etc. My old coworker JD used to every week save paper bags from their grocery shopping, and set them up empt around the kitchen, and their black kitty Salem would have a blast hopping in and out, knocking them over, hiding in them, etc.

"Found toys" like a human's ponytail holder, figurine, something shining left on a shelf also seems to hold a huge attraction.
