I just called the hospital and talked to the nurses station. As per the law, they could not give me any information to I asked if she had any visitors (expecting to be put through to her room and talk to one of them). She went away and came back with a message from Gini. Gini said that she would call me (but I don't expect that will happen until she's back home). She also told the nurse to tell me that she is OK. That's all I know.
I'm crying buckets....

What a horrible thing to have happen to someone. So sorry about your friend- prayers sent and wishes for a speedy recovery. I hope you'll be able to get some kind of news from the family.
