Thanks everyone. I think he really likes his new haircut because now he's not matted any more. I'm going to try to keep his fur much shorter from now on since he's not grooming himself like he should be. He ate some canned chicken wellness this morning and now he's napping again. I'm sure he'll eat more food later on.
