Thanks Alysser. {{hug}}
Not good news from the vets I'm afraid. He's lost more even more weight and is now only 33lbs (approx). We're keeping him on the same drug, as it is working well to keep him comfortable, and we go back in a month.
Bob is keeping happy and pretty frisky and as long as that continues ...
I'm so sorry to learn the news wasn't good. But if he's in good spirits, that helps. I hope he gets better. Hug him for me.

I did the right thing by setting you free
But the pain is very deep.
If only I could turn back time, forever, you I'd keep.
I miss you
I hear you whimper in your sleep
I gently pet you and say, no bad dreams
It will be alright, to my dog as dark as night.
Fur as dark as the night.
Join me on this flight.
Paws of love that follow me.
In my heart you'll forever be.

How I wish I could hold you near.
Turn back time to make it so.
Hug you close and never let go.

Chris, I will keep a candle lighted for Bobby and for you too.![]()
Just now seeing this. hope this trip to the vet when you go itll bring good news. *crosses fingers*
Oh Chris, I hope Bobby keeps comfortable and frisky for a while yet.
Just a suggestion but maybe your vet could try Bobby on Pancrease -V powder. I've seen that work miracles on some dogs. Seems like their system stops producing enzymes to help assimilate their food but with enzyme replacements some dogs go on to live quite a few years. You might be right in assuming that he could have eaten something harsh to destroy his digestive tract.
