Hello Stretch, it is a pleasure to meet you. In your 20 years you certainly have lived in different places. I am sorry you no longer live with your mom but Margaret sounds very nice and I'm sure you have a good loving home. You certainly are a pretty ole gal and I hope the rest of your life is a happy one. Greetings dear, sweet, beautiful Stretch! A very happy Cat of the Day you! What an honor it is, having a seasoned senior citizen as deserving as you as our EXTRA special honoree! Like my fellow posters, it's hard to believe you are 20 years young; you still have that youthful glow about you! But oh, what an exciting, adventure and travel filled 20 years it has been! How blessed your person was to have you, her loyal and loving companion, there by her side each time she pulled up roots! I'm sure it was exciting, experiencing the world as you two did! But understandably, after all that excitement, jetting around the world, you were ready for a little rest and relaxation (even though some might say that retiring at 19 into a home of 6 kitties, not so restful)!
I'm sure your Mum misses you dearly, Stretch, but is at peace knowing she made the best decision for her beautiful girl, comforted knowing you're being cared for so lovingly, so completely! Now that's selfless, unconditional love!
Thanks to your dear Mum for sharing your beautiful self and your very special, heartwarming story us all. You truly are a Cat of a Lifetime, and your Mum...all who come to know and love you...truly blessed!

Big Hello's from the states Stretch. Are you sure you're 20? Wow, you must have found the fountain of youth because you don't look a day over ten. I notice you have peppered feet with little black dots on them. So cute! You certainly have an impressive story and are quite the story teller. I hope you have a wonderful COTD and pray that you have many, many more.

Thanks for all the lovely comments about my beautiful Stretch. She's already lived twice as long as most cats from her part of the world and just keeps on keeping on. Strangely enough each change seems to give her a new lease of life. I never anticipated, that moving to live with six cats, all much younger and bigger, would work out as well as it has done for her. I'm not sure what the other cats think! It's all down to the loving care and indulgence she receives from her new mum.
I miss her every single day but she's moved on and is making the best of her new home. She's clearly got the superpuss gene!!

Stretch, you sure have covered a lot of territory in your 20 years of service to Mum. I bet she misses your so much. I guess she made the right decision to leave you with Margaret. Sounds like you are happy where you are in New Zealand! Happy COTD
