    Awesome!

    Fantastic!

    3) Each Union is made up of Locals, each with their own executive boards, and each executive board has their own voice

    The terminology does matter.

I am a member in a Union. I'm also an officer in a Union.

None of which makes me "beholden" to the union for anything.

I understand completely what the word means.

I'm still trying to understand how a Union member is anymore "beholden" to anyone than a non Union member?

Perhaps that is on purpose. I have found many union members are purposely obtuse.

You rely on your union to get what you get. I rely on myself to get what I get. Who do you think has more freedom?
