The only issue with having everything removed is the hormones, but only because doctors really don't understand how important hormones are. My hormones were so high I went into withdrawal 24 hours after the surgery. the hot flashes were bad. I had to be on them for several years. I don't seem to need the hormones any more. I had my levels checked recently but I need to get the results from the doctor and check with a specialist.
I don't miss the parts, either.
I hope this turns out to be minor.

Give Bruce a hug and thank him for being concerned about you - it is probably better to err on the side of caution and postpone the party a week. After all, he will otherwise spend the whole party worried about you, no matter what - and that's no fun for anyone!
I've Been Frosted
I researched the procedure last night and on three different sites it said most women can return to normal activities immediately. Minor cramping (which should subside in 24 hours) and light bleeding seem to be the only side effects.
I don't know that he'll want to postpone it a week. Since it is a Halloween party, we always have it the weekend closest to Halloween. He just wants to cancel it all together.I'll ask about maybe having it on the 5th instead. A party is a party, right?
Or I guess we could move it UP a week and have it on the 22nd. Hmmm.....those are two possibilities.
Thank you everyone for your responses and well wishes. I love my Pet Talk family!!![]()

I think moving it to the 22nd would be fun for people - sort of an early start to Halloween!
I've Been Frosted
Well he shot down the idea of moving the party date. He said he didn't want to change it this late in the game. And I thought "Hmmm....we didn't even have the invites OUT at this time last year!!!"
I'll have to wait until I get home to talk to him about it more. He also said changing the date of the surgery is up to me. Sigh....I'm not good at decisions.

I had polyps when I was in my 20's and the dr. would burn them off in his office. It wasn't painful, I bled a little but just for that day and I had no down time whatsoever. My experience probably doesn't help you that much, though.
Blessings,
Mary

Thanks though Mary. But my doctor said this is going to be at the surgery center, not in the office.
So Bruce finally just said to do whatever I wanted in regards to the party and my surgery. So the surgery is on the 28th and the party is the next night. I think I will be just fine. And I can always just sit and relax, my friends will understand (this is if anyone even shows).
