Kiri is a girl and she is named after Kiri Te Kanawa, the New Zealand opera singer. She has never been in a pet store but was rescued by an organization who take kitties out of Mallorca. On these mediterranean islands many kitties survive around hotels in summer but face a much worse fate in winter. We got her one day after she arrived and she was 4 months old and very small for her age. We brought her to our friend the vet that same afternoon. I am sorry that her story didn't translate very well- but you know- kitties especially when their mother tongue is Spanish have some problems to really understand their own story

Happy Cat of the Day to you, beautiful Queen Kiri! How neat that one of our very own is today's extra special honoree! Your Mommy must be so proud! You had quite a rough start at life, sweetheart, and it took you (and Orion) some time before you found your way to your forever home and forever family! But those tough days, are but a distant memory now! No more wanting for food, or a warm, safe, comfy place to sleep (the humans' big bed...now that's the ticket, hehe); nothing but the most deluxe accommodations, all the food your tummy can hold, as much ham as your paws can steal, and all the love your heart can hold!
