What an amazing story of rescue and friendship your Mommy has shared with us! At first I thought that you, Zippy, were a domesticated Nanday who had escaped and become injured, forgetting that in your neck of the woods Conures and parrots in the wild are commonplace!
What an amazing stroke of luck, your Mommy coming upon you when she did, Zipppy, and just in the nick of time! And your complete recovery, your easy acclimation to domestic life, more miraculous still!And Kelly got a best friend in the bargain as well, how great is that! I think having a best feathered friend to watch over and care for, to love, was just what she needed, and in you she found that friend! In the end, in your own unique ways, you both were rescued, and transformed, that fateful day! As your Mom says, you two are truly special, and so very deserving of being crowned co- Pets of the Days! How lucky you are to have one another, and lucky your Mommy is, having two such beautiful creatues gracing her life!
