We are in the mid- to upper 90's with a thunderstorm just about every day. The temps we are having now usually don't arrive until August. From what I see, from all the weather report across the country, we have been fortunate to be in a near normal pattern. We are cooling down at night and our morning are very nice now. I am in the process of building a courtyard that has really been nice, for the last month, for morning coffee.

So it's 86F (30C) in Chicago today but the humidity is down to 48%. It feels completely different. We've gotten 8 inches of rain over the past 3 or 4 days. The grass looks better and you can actually tolerate being outside longer than a split second.

It's lovely today, in the seventies, grey and rainy - my choice for weather!

It's down a bit, 82F (28C) but the humidity is 75% -- sticky. And July has suddenly turned rainy.

I heard on the news last night that a tropical storm could make landfall around Corpus Christi, Texas -- but they need the rain so that's not exactly a bad thing. Just so it isn't a damage-causing storm.
