Thanks for the tips sasvermont. My RB kitty Amber used to get the occasional eye irritation too but it would always go away on it's own. Petco has an ophthalmic gel and Petsmart has eye cleanse drops. I'd have to consult my vet about what products to use.

Thanks for clearing that up for me Karen. I'll edit the OP now.

Well she's still young to have kittens, sorry I didn't read the original post.. glad she is older than that it doesn't make me feel as bad and I hope everything goes smoothly.

She is just adorable. Thank you for taking her in so she could have her babies inside.

She looks very much at home. I hope the birth of her kittens goes well for her.

    Prayers for you and her.

Awww, she is so pretty! Her fur looks like soft velvet in the "sleepy girl" picture.

    Prescriptions

Malibu, the eye treatments I mentioned in my earlier postings were ones I got from the Vet, not Petsmart etc. I'm not sure if I made that clear in earlier posts.

Hope things are running smoothly for you and your furry friends.

Oh, I know that sasvermont. I just wanted to see what I could get OTC in the meantime. My mom picked up an eye rinse from Petco on her way home and it seemed to help.

She is getting more tired everyday. Still has an appetite. She spends a lot of time in her box but still wants to greet me and "help" me clean. She seems happy and content at the moment.

Well, I made an appointment for her eye with my second choice vet for 3:20 tomorrow. I just want to get it taken care of as soon as possible. I really wanted to avoid the stress but I need to get it checked out before she has her kittens. Hopefully everything goes well.

Anyway... we finally decide on a name. We considered all of the PT suggestions (thanks all!) , but ultimately decided on one - Sophia. I suggested that her full name should be Miss Sophia Loren. I know it means "wisdom" and she does have that wise, been-there-done that attitude about her, even if she isn't that old.
