    Another way to look at it~~~~~~if the one you have now breaks down. then you have to buy a new one and pay the labor/service charge for installation too - unless you have a friend that can install it for you. If you get a new one now, it could be put in when the door is installed and would probably not add much of anything to your final bill.
    Just a thought.........

    I have a manual door opener and it works just fine - it's five fingers and a palm.

    Save the money...buy a new one when you have to. Oh...and I do like pie too.

    Those door openers don't ususally have much go wrong with them, I'd probably save the money for now if it's in good shape.
    The manual one seems like a way to go...if yours does break down.

    Manual was fine when I was younger.

    Automatic is what I need for future, lol.
