“Outside, the sun filtered through the foliage, giving the patio a languid, tropical look.
When a trio of jazz musicians strolled past our table playing the old Louis Armstrong
favorite “What a Wonderful World,” we could only nod in agreement.”

Now, if I may, I'll tell you how this came about. The other day, I had two tasks; one, a puzzle no one could look up, and, two, I needed two recipes for New Orleans dishes for a themed dinner this past weekend. I went to an old friend, a cookbook that was my mother's, of New Orleans restaurant recipes. My mother had a habit of sticking pertinent articles of note in books as a reference; this was no exception. Out fell this article about Commander's Palace, a very famous New Orleans institution, which is the home of the jazz brunch. Many consider this a MUST stop when visiting there. Anyway, I took one look at this article, where and when it was from, and decided there was NO WAY it could be googled!I hope you enjoyed; thank you for indulging me.
