Sugar is HOME, doing her bouncing walk, doing "construction" to get her blankets just so. Apparently she started construction as soon as she woke from the anesthesia, had everyone quite amused at the hospital. She has antibiotics and pain pills for the next few days, limited activity (being as she is 14, this just MAY be possible! LOL).

So this time they found a large pink growth, not a polyp. Will have it biopsied, results due next Wednesday. It was blocking more than 90% of her nasal cavity, so they aren't sure how she was breathing through her nose at all! Were able to remove at least 75% of it.

She did have a dental, 3 teeth removed, plus one molar that was infected. 4 teeth removed in all.

Here nasal passages will be raw from the procedure so she will sound congested for 2 to 3 days, but will be breathing much better after that. She has already eaten, had a drink and a pee and now getting blankets organized for a nice nap.

Thank you ALL OF YOU for the support! I'll update next week when we get the biopsy results.

Yay - so glad she's feeling somewhat spunky, in spite of her traumatic day. (Sparky does the construction thing too) Prayers continue that it will be a favorable biopsy.

Rest Miss Pretty Ears, and make sure Mum waits on you hand and paw!

Many prayers that the mass isn't serious. I know I'll be waiting anxiously.

Meantime, soft, gentle kisses on Sugar. What a brave baby girl.

I'm just seeing this thread now. I'm glad to hear that her surgery went well and that she was also able to have her teeth cleaned. I hope she makes a speedy recovery and that her biopsy results will be good ones.

Got the biopsy results for Sugar, and it is still BENIGN! WOO HOO!!

I've been worried this time, as it was so much larger, and did not look at all the same, to the specialist.

Sugar is still chortling a bit, I mentioned this to the vet on the phone just now. He said it was quite a bit larger, and there was a lot more swelling, so she will take more time to heal this time around.

Attaching a photo of her from this morning. She came with us this morning for our farm walk. Left her home twice and she was so unhappy to stay behind. So when I told her OKAY! this morning she bounced about in a circle, lol

Yay Sugar - that's great news. We're all so happy for you - and for Mum and Dad too! Now go and enjoy those walks at the farm, but try not to sniff the ground too much and get stuff up your sensitive little nose.
