Uh, how's the race going?

I made my appearance yesterday and this morning and everything was moving along smoothly. The Big Kahuna was happy so all is well in Xterraland. They had moved this race ahead two weeks to escape the heat and all was well until today, temperture wise. We have been having below average temperature all week until today. The swim and bike races were early enough to escape the 91 degree afternoon temps. The older/slower classes ended up running in the heat. luckily we did have a slight breeze so all ended well.

I think you did use the overdue library book on this puzzle.
