Dandelion Wine. The words were summer on the tongue. The wine was summer caught and stoppered...Hold summer in your hand, pour summer in a glass, a tiny glass of course, the smallest tingling sip for children; change the season in your veins by raising glass to lip and tilting summer in.

Ray Bradbury (Dandelion Wine)

I knew that "r" would be the clue.

In my opinion, Ray Bradbury is underrated by the genres outside of Science fiction. In a bookstore, all of his works are located in the Sci-Fi section.

Rather than use words to convey an idea, he uses words to bring the story to life and place you there. No one writes likes this anymore.

If you haven't read Dandelion Wine, you should.
