I'm so glad to hear this, Jen. They like to scare us and then rally. LOL As for the subQ's, you'd be surprised what you can do when you have to. I bawled my eyes out when I had to give my first one to Puddy. I jabbed myself and drew blood, the needle came out of Puddy and squirted fluid all over the place and I called my vet crying. He told me to bring her in and he'd show me again. After that, it was a piece of cake. Then later I had to give her shots and that was so simple that I was surprised. You can do it if you have to, girl. But right now, just enjoy your time w/Honeybun and give him lots of love from me and the Fur Posse.
    Blessings,
    Mary

Great news for Honeybun!!! Yes, the sub-q's can be quite intimidating at first but as Mary says, you'd be surprised what you can do when you are faced with it. Taking my Speckles and Max up to vet was not practical for me as I work full time and it stressed them out. So with the help of an emergency vet (I was crying there...) they showed me over and over again how to do it. My first try with Speckles was just as disasterous as Mary's was - I was bleeding all over.... and poor Specks was laying there as if to say "come on Mom, get it together..."

It is wonderful news that Honeybun is home with you. I pray for many more weeks and months of loving for the two of you.

This is wonderful news!!! I hope that his health will continue to improve and that you'll receive good news about his blood work. He remains in my thoughts and prayers.

He slept under my bed all night, sneezed a million times, lol, but other than that, didn't hear a peep out of him. This morning he ate his chicken, and I cornered him and gave him his clavamox. He howled like a banshee, like I was just torturing him, lol. Now to do this every day... yeah.... such fun.

He's limping like crazy again. I'm gonna beat his little butt for not doing it yesterday, and now limping worse!! How do they manage to do that?! Look like perfection at the vet, then you come home and they're doing exactly what you said they were doing???!!! The vet must think I'm a nut, but he's limping really badly!

Will report more when I get home tonight. Hope everyone has a good day! Keep those prayers coming, he needs them!!

Good news so far. Hoping the lab results are good news too.

As for the limping - does he ever go outside? Sparky had the same problem a couple of years - first limping and then not (and of course not at the vet), and other issues that would come and go. He was tested for Lyme's and was negative, but it was a false negative, and he actually did have it in spite of being vaccinated against it. A 30 day treatment with antibiotics and he was good as new.

Hoping you can get to the root of that problem, as I know how frustrating it can be.

None of my cats ever go outside, so it shouldn't be that. The vet didn't feel any breaks or anything... so she was really no help. If it keeps up, he's going back and we'll get an xray.
