I meant," said Ipslore bitterly, "what is there in this world that truly makes living worthwhile?"
Death thought about it.
CATS, he said eventually. CATS ARE NICE.

Enter, if you dare,
Into the verdant wood
Beyond the fences, and on
The faint trail - the only sign
Of human presence
Through the greenwood
Breathe in the heady, heavy scent
Of spring well underway
Of new growth and soil
Listen for the song of unseen birds
Well hidden in the leafy glade
Be still for a moment
Civilization and stress forgotten
Close your eyes and breathe deep
Of the spirits of the forest
Ancestors and ghost of travelers long past
And feel your pulse slow
Listen to the birdsong and hum of insects
And just breathe
I've Been Frosted
Karen, you did it again!! Such a beautiful poem; it describes that moment and that place perfectly, just as if you've been there with me! Wow
Pat, thanks a lot!![]()

You amazed me again with your pictures Kirsten. You have to keep trying to get some art magazines to publish those.
The second picture was my favourite, I sat and stared at it with such a feeling of being there, just so peaceful and tranquil.
Karen the poem you wrote to go along with the second picture was also amazing, very well written, made one feel the reality of the picture. Maybe we could have a talent section on the forum.

Yes, the mid-Atlantic ocean area would probably be a bad choice, but maybe we could present our work on a website?Originally Posted by Karen
Love the two new poems you've posted! You really captured the emotions of my pictures and put them into beautiful words!
