I hate to throw a wet blanket on this as far as real world application, but these are the same people who designed the Tata Nano (engine fires on four wheels) and it comes from the same country that has been trying to produce the Arjun MBT for 30+ years.

Mahindra-diesel compact truck to the US market in 2009- Haven't seen one for sale yet, and the deal is tied up in court.

Tata- the air car coming to the US in 2009 or early 2010- Haven't seen one yet.

They don't exactly have a stellar track record.
