Amberlee, I just saw this thread and I am so sorry that I didn't find it sooner. I wish I could reach out and give you some warm hugs to comfort you right now. Oh, it is so painful to lose our babies - we love them so much.

We just never seem to be able to have them as long as we want and it is gut wrenching to let them go - even when it is the best thing for them.

My heart goes out to you.

Thank you so much, everyone. Your kind comments bring some consolation.
I'm sometimes asked "Why do you spend so much of your time and money talking about kindness to animals when there is so much cruelty to men?" I answer: "I am working at the roots." -George T. Angell, reformer (1823-1909)

Amber Lee, I am so sorry to see your beloved boy has passed away. Cancer seems to affect so many in this world both human and animal. I know that one day you will look back and think so many happy memories of your boy, and smile and laugh at the thought of him. I do that with my beloved Jack now. I still feel sad sometimes, but most of the time I remember the funny, sweet things he did and why I loved him so so much.
    Best thoughts.....

    Kate
