As far as macro lenses go, I've got this one for my Canon last year, and I really love it.

Definitely get the 55-200mm, it is quite nice! I have a 18-55mm, 55-200mm, 18-70mm and 18-105mm - I just prefer being able to move between a range than being constricted/limited, like the 35mm/50mm, but however, those two lenses are extremely useful for portraits! I'm more of a nature/landscape type of photographer, so I like to have telephoto lenses.Someday, I'd love to get this: AF DX Fisheye-Nikkor 10.5mm f/2.8G ED

I have more lenses than I need, but my favorite is a Sigma 18-250. It's my walking around lens. I rarely take it off my camera anymore. When we went to Costa Rica, it was the only lens I took. It's sharp, it's fast and it covers a huge range. Sometimes there is some very minor vingetting at the very far end of the range but it's minor and easy to crop out for prints.
I have a Nikkor 60mm Macro lens. It was crazy expensive, but it does take a great shot. I mainly use it for pictures of my beads.
I have the Nikkor 35mm too. It's a great lens. So fast and bright. Nice for portraits and that kind of stuff.
If you are lucky enough to find a way of life you love, you must find the courage to live it.
