How sad is that? I'm not any kind of sports fan but it always makes me feel sad when a well known, established landmark like this is forced to bite the dust. What a loss for the community and the fans!

FIND A PURPOSE IN LIFE.....BE A BAD EXAMPLE
I agree with you, it is sad. I have a lot of memories of the Igloo. However, if they did keep it, I am not sure what they would do with it. If they are going to tear it down anyway, they should make it all parking. Hubby and I went to a Pens game the other night and there is NOT enough parking.
I feel your pain, David P. There are two of those in Chicago, the Chicago Stadium and Comiskey Park, that are now parking lots. The Bulls and Blackhawks now play at the United Center, and t he Sox now play at U.S. Cellular Field. The newer ones are just not the same.
Praying for peace in the Middle East, Ukraine, and around the world.
I've been Boo'd ... right off the stage!
Aaahh, I have been defrosted! Thank you, Bonny and Asiel!
Brrrr, I've been Frosted! Thank you, Asiel and Pomtzu!
"That's the power of kittens (and puppies too, of course): They can reduce us to quivering masses of Jell-O in about two seconds flat and make us like it. Good thing they don't have opposable thumbs or they'd surely have taken over the world by now." -- Paul Lukas
"We consume our tomorrows fretting about our yesterdays." -- Persius, first century Roman poet
