Dear Friend,
May the Lord bless you for the care and love you've given Austen. It's obvious because of his longevity. Twenty years is a long run for a kitty but I've heard of some who go as long as twenty-five. Right now, we have a kitty, Erin, who is going to be sixteen this summer and her friend Tweeder is going to be eleven. Erin is a gray dilute tortoise shell. Tweeder is a tuxedo gray tabby. They fight quite often and it's not at all friendly when they do. Erin usually starts it; she just looks at him and it's like, "You get on my last nerve, you know that?" and there they go, with big, ol' Tweeder running slowly from her, hissing and growling, finally getting up on a chair or something like that and going on from there. If we don't break it up, Erin will keep picking at him for a good twenty minutes and the fact that she likes to start this junk very early in the morning or at bed time doesn't do anything for my nerves. Still, I love them both very much.
I pray Austin stays with you for a long time yet. May the Lord keep him well.
My love to all in my Blessed Savior, Jesus,
