Yes, I named him Odin. Odin is, among other attributes, the Norse god of travel. Thought that was appropriate, since he was found traveling. The people who found him were calling him Dakota. Um, no.
I SO wish he could be a keeper! I have wanted a basenji, and especially a brindle basenji, for decades. But, he's an adult un-neutered male, and I highly doubt he's going to want to give up his compulsive leg-lifting behavior ... especially since I already have two male dogs who are reluctant to reliquish their leg-lifting! Also, I have nine dogs ... and that's a LOT of dogs. I'm really not totally decided though. It's torturing me. I'm actually hoping Colorado basenji rescue takes him, like NOW. That will remove the decision from my hands. LOL
He's SUCH a sweet, fun dog!

"We are raised to honor all the wrong explorers and discoverers - thieves planting flags, murderers carrying crosses. Let us at last praise the colonizers of dreams."- P.S. Beagle
"All that is gold does not glitter, Not all those who wander are lost; The old that is strong does not wither, Deep roots are not reached by the frost. From the ashes a fire shall be woken, A light from the shadows shall spring; Renewed shall be blade that was broken, The crownless again shall be king." - J.R.R. Tolkien
