"That's the power of kittens (and puppies too, of course): They can reduce us to quivering masses of Jell-O in about two seconds flat and make us like it. Good thing they don't have opposable thumbs or they'd surely have taken over the world by now." -- Paul Lukas

These are my favorite winners through the years.
1987 - the first year I watched, this glorious GSD, Manhattan, was the winner -
1996 - Brady, the Clumber Spaniel - how could anyone resist this face
2004 - Josh, the Newfie
2008 - Uno, the Beagle. I knew he was a winner the moment I saw him.

Oh Grace, please don't forget 2001, JR!! Back then, I didn't even know what a BF was!
I remember Brady, first time a Clumber won! And Josh, oh my gosh, just wanted to snuggle in his coat. UNO?! What a personality on that one, hee heee.
If you follow a particular breed, results of today's breed showings are up. Here are the BF's:

For Sandie, the 2001 winner, JR -

The hound group is done! And the winner is ____________ (I won't say it here in case anyone hasn't seen it yet) Can I just say though: wow, beautiful. The dogs in this group are so different from one another! I picked a different dog to win, but I always do.
Edited to say: The toy group is done and once again I chose a different dog to win. But that's okay. Some day I hope to be owned by a Papillon. My upstairs neighbor, 2 doors down has one and I just love her to pieces.
Edited again to say: Non-sporting group - that's 3 for 3 I picked a different dog to win! You know which one I chose in this group and why.![]()
