For the money she paid to put Snickers in cargo, Lombardi said she could have flown to Utah to pick her up: "I could have bought a seat on the plane and carried her on my lap."

If she had done this, the cat would no doubt be alive today. The prospective owner is as much to blame as the airline - IMHO.

I think that that is very harsh to blame the new owner of Snickers.
After all Delta is a reliable name, and normally these transfers take place safely on a daily basis.
Sicker's new Guardian assumed that there would be due diligence in getting her Little Cat of The Future to her.
My Friend whoi is a Breeder sends her Cats out by plane and nothing has ever happened like this.
This was a sadcase of neglect, certainly nothing that can be blamed of Snicker's New Best friend.
There was no way to reasonably assume that this could happen.

Thanks Gary. My thoughts exactly. Delta didn't bother to tell their customers that when the plane descends, the "climate control" aka heat, is shut off.
