I guess he's forgiven me. I was on the sofa w/Creamsicle and he came up to me and wanted up on the sofa, so I lifted him and he snuggled in and put his paw on my face. Kitty love.
    Blessings,

Specs ate on his own this morning, not baby food, but the regular canned food. I was going to make the baby food mixture for him but I guess he was too hungry b/c he jumped right in and began eating w/the rest of the Fur Posse. He didn't eat much but it was enough for him, I guess, and definitely encouraging to me.
    Blessings,
    Mary

Mary, What wonderful news that Specs is eating on his own. Gosh, our pets really do scare us when they are sickly, dont they? I too would have been so concerned. It sure sounds as if he is on the path now to total recovery. In a few days he will feel like a new cat with no hurting teeth and he wont be as sore in his mouth. Great news! Kay in NC, Thur Jan 13

Oh, that is just WONDERFUL progress! He is clearly recovering from his ordeal.

Just keep giving him the tender loving care you always give your animals, Mary, and I bet he'll be good as new before long.

CATS, he said eventually. CATS ARE NICE.

I just finished reading this whole thread - and I am so glad that the good news just keeps coming in about Specs. What you have been through Mary is very draining. How nice that you have been rewarded with a sweet touch of a paw on your cheek.

Mary could you tell us more about the baby food that you gave Specs and how you prepared it. It is something that I need to use for Rascal from time to time.

This is wonderful news. I do remember that whenever I gave my cats the Buprinex sp? that it would cause them to just want to sleep all the time and they too didn't want to eat. I hope that now Specs will recover quickly without any more setbacks.
