Gosh, that's quite a bit of water! It looks pretty, though. Glad to hear you can get to the shops, but you better put your wellies on!

Oh no- that looks bad! I am glad to hear that your (and also Lily's and Luna's) paws can stay dry. I hope the water goes back soon.

That's a lot of water! Glad you are safe!
We have the same situation in France, in some areas upper in the north.

Would it not be such a bad context, I would say your photos are wonderful, and the area looks great, with such nice colours in spite of the extremely grey sky.

    Oh.. my.. God...

Splendid photographs, as always, Kirsten. They tell QUITE a story VERY well about your hometown. Thank you.

I hope the flood waters go down soon and the people and the animals in the flooded areas are able to stay safe and have food and shelter.

Yes, it's a lot of water indeed, but I heard it's going down slowly now... However, if it starts raining the next days, the situation might become even worse.

But I read also something heartwarming today: The fire fighters rescued several bunnies and hens from a flooded garden, and now they're safe!

Here are some more pics of this morning:

Hope you don't mind, but I'm using the picture of the crow by the water as my desktop at work. I love his expression. . ."what are you lookin' at?" He doesn't seem to mind the water at all

I was thinking the same thing. The pictures are gorgeous, but I hate to see what they're doing to those beautiful buildings. I'm glad to hear that your safe and your home wasn't affected.

    Thanks for sharing these.

Yes, it's sad what the water is doing to our buildings. However, the water is going back now, at least a little bit.

As for sending my pics to our local newspaper: they don't need mine, they already have lots of pictures on their websites, some of them much better than mine. Lots of people took photos of the flood.

    Hi Kirsten,
Your extraordinary pictures tell a heartbreaking story. Such a beautiful town dealing with so much water. I'm happy and relieved to know that you, Lily, and Luna are safe. If your situation should change with more rain possibly on the way, be sure to pm me and I'll help you and your sweet girls any way I possibly can.

    Be well and be safe
