Former VP candidate Edwards not named in wife's will which leaves all to kids

I am not a supporter of John Edwards. I think he is a vainglorious little sleazebag.

However, he had not announced his engagement. The National Enquirer announced a rumor of his engagement - which has been denied by "his people" and by "her people."

They were married a good long time. Had many children together so I am thinking most of their marriage must have been happy.
Perhaps the death of his son, perhaps middle age, maybe her illness changed him.
Who knows. But up until this scandal they seemed happy and in love.
He has his own money, doesn't need hers and she did want him to raise the kids so she had faith in him as a father.
What he did was horrible. But perhaps he was a good husband and father for the first 25 years or so.
In the end, no one wins. He lost his partner and the mother of his children, the kids lost their mom and american lost a proud and good women.
So glee is not what I am feeling now.

Good thing this winner of a human being didnt get to be the second most powerful man on the planet.
