Received word from my sister: Daddy's now on a ventilator which, in this situation, is good news. The biggest part of the time element was they were afraid to put him through that because they didn't think he could take it. They now have a surgeon on board, but now need a thorasic (sp?) surgeon on the team for what's going to happen to the trachea. Still praying....

All my best wishes to you and your family; I hope your Dad gets the medical attention he needs and soon. Your strength is sure being tested these days and thank goodness Coop is on the mend! I can't imagine what this would all be like for you if that were not the case.

Make sure you get lots and lots of Pinot cuddles and hugs - somehow that makes all things better

Latest update: surgery scheduled for 5pm today. Daddy is stable now that the ventilator is in. They had a time with that; he is not a complainer, this has evidently been going on for years, and his airway was only 3mm. He's not really aware that much of comings and goings, but my sister said she's feeling better about his situation. Will continue to update as I hear.

Thank you all for your prayers and thoughts.

Prayers that surgery is successful and that your Dad will be more aware - especially when he is able to take in more air. 3mm! Yow.
