itīs rather common.. at least over here.. for chihuahuas to have mega long nails.. maybe because they are indoors and canīt wear them down..

Ohhh, Poor little thing. I hope she hasnt been thrown away and probably not. In my country area, owners/dumpers remove the dog's collar & any identifying items before they dump dog. Maybe the owners are out of town and left her with some relatives or friends in your area and she ran away. I'm glad you're taking care of her and little dog isnt out by herself. As you know, I have a soft spot for chihuahuas. Kay in NC
