It's greyt that you rescued a racer. I'm still so sad from having to put my 12 1/2 yr. old grey, Major, down on Nov. 20.He had advanced liver disease and had stopped eating. Instead of taking him to the vet hospital to our vet, where he shook with fear in the waiting room (even for a nail clipping), I had a "traveling" vet come to the house and Major thought he was just another visitor. It was much better for him and us. However, our family misses him so much. I hope to get another one in a couple of months, in the spring. Btw, he was "Dog of the Day" Jan. 7, 2008.
