The UConn Women's Basketball team won it's 89th consecutive regular season game in Hartford this evening. They beat Florida State by 31 points.

Greg Wooden, grandson of the great coach John Wooden was present for the game. He felt someone from the family should be there to honor the record. Class act.

Go UCONN! I think it's awesome that a women's sport has set the record.

    The streak is over

After winning 90 consecutive games, the UConn women's basketball team just lost to Stanford, 71-59.

Very appropriate, considering Stanford was the last team to beat UConn, back in 2008. The game was played in Palo Alto, and in the stands was a former Secretary of State, wearing her red sweater, cheering the Cardinal on to victory.
