Wow! That is a large area. I know it's hard to keep the cage clean and hopefully she'll settle down. I hope she'll heal up quickly without any more problems. Lots more prayers and positive thoughts are being sent her way.

Poor Mouthy! I hope she gets better soon and never risks "the great outdoors" again.

I'm so sorry I missed this, Melissa. Between my cell phone and my computer, I don't know which has been giving me more grief. That abscess is twice the size of Creamsicle's, poor little girl. Creamy is healing nicely and I'm sure now that Mouthy will, too. It's rough when they have to wear the collar but Creamy was lucky this time. Well, Mouthy is on the mend and that's what's important. Prayers going up from Ohio.....
    Blessings,
    Mary

Oh the poor baby! How lucky she is to have been found again....with a wound like that it is unlikely she would have survived without the great care she is getting....

Mouthy is at the vets today to have her drain removed!

The vet called and said that everything is looking good and they removed the drain. Poor girl...I hope it didn't hurt her.

Next week she will have her stitches out....the stuff this girl has gone through...and yet she is so friendly!

She really just wants to be around people. If anyone here would love a friendly cat let me know

Thank you all for the prays!

    Hi Everyone-

Mouthy has been doing so well since her drain was removed.

Tomorrow (Monday) she will get her stitches out and then she will spend x-mas with us and then she will be heading back to stay with my sister. Mouthy is currently looking for her forever home and would love to find a place to stay.

She isn't fixed yet, we would like to give her body a little time to heal from the infection and everything.

If you know of anyone that would love a very sweet cat please send give them my e-mail address [email protected]

    Thanks!
    Melissa

I spoke with my sister tonight and she is supposed to take Mouthy back after X-mas because we just don't really have the room for her here.....well my sister who has 4 declawed cats told me that if she is going to take Mouthy then she is going to get her fixed and declawed. I asked her if she plans on keeping her and she said no.

I told her you can't declaw her and then give her to someone else and she said everyone wants a declawed cat, of course I told her I don't.

I told her then Mouthy will have to stay here then because she is a year old or so and to me that just isn't right.

I hope I don't upset anyone else here but I'm kinda in a pickle here, I can't keep Mouthy and I have posted for her to find a forever home but I was hoping it would be very soon or at least Mouthy would be at my sisters but now that just isn't going to happen.

My other girl cat who sprays occasionally decided to let me know how ticked off she is by peeing on a brand new cat bed that was on our bed, luckily I was siting there and could move the bed before it soaked through.

I really need to find Mouthy a forever home, one where someone won't let her outside or let her go out at all unless in a cat carrier.

    Melissa

Damn! What a situation. Thank you for sparing Mouthy the torture of declawing - wish I could do more to help. You're a tiger among humans.
