5 bags of leaves - okay, one is mostly sticks - are out to the curb, so now I can finish making the Dutch Apple cake. Thanks for the peeling help, Richard! And as calories in Thursdays do not count, I will make the custard sauce that traditionally goes on top, if anyone wants it.

Work kept me away from Thursdays, I sure hope I haven't missed out on the apple cake. Do you make the custard sauce from scratch Karen, or is it the packaged kind from England. Either way, I love custard on just about anything.
