I'm so sorry to hear about Boo's passing Medusa. Can you separate your fighting felines in two different rooms for the day to give you some peace of mind whilst out (or two separate cages so they can see/communicate) then go thru the reintroduction ritual as with new additions to household, when you come home and have some time to give to this over the weekend?
It is so hard watching our pets grieve, it really deepens our own grieving. Chin up Medusa my thoughts are with you.![]()

I was thinking what TopCat wrote. Maybe that will help?
.
Thanx for the suggestions. I may have to try that. What concerns me is that I'll be in CA w/my son for a week for Thanksgiving and they're going to be alone except for when my cat sitter comes in to feed, water, etc. She'll be there twice a day but that leaves a huge gap of time for Specs to do his worst on Cgirl. He's always been such a bad boy but I can't help but love him. He has the most expressive face and eyes.
Blessings,
Mary

Another thought - Pawsitive Thinking or Nancy Efrusy could communicate with them?
You may have to separate the fighters for a while. I know you are doing this, but also give them lots of loves. It's said that communicating with cats involves 'sending' them pictures from our minds. If you are a visual thinker, try that, and let your feelings go along with the pictures.
