MOFF please send me your email addy and I will send you a free program that cleans out the 'crap' files, along with instructions! That should help a lot.

I would love to remote in to your computer and work on it too...I did that for a PTr in Kentucky, and I am near Calgary Alberta!

This is what we use at work to remotely connect to another computer. It's free for home use. That might help you Catty until I can chime in and assist.

Momo, I have people arriving here very soon to have a bit to eat then we are heading out to the parade. I'll try and call you tomorrow - that is if Catty doesn't fix it before me. She's more technical than I am. I'm just an "app" girl
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!

I'm glad to see people are willing to help you out here. I am no help
at all with fixing computer problems. I did pm Blue about this.
He knows a lot about computers & maybe he can tell you something to
help with this too. Fingers crossed.

A second cousin sent me the link to a clean up program called CCleaner. The only problem is I'm afraid to use it. I am so unknowlegable about computers I'd probably wipe out my entire drive. After deleteing another 64 pics I'm down to 7 % free space.

No matter what anyone does, someone some where will be offended some how!!!!

CCleaner is good. After you run it, look up and down the list of results so you don't delete anything you might want to keep (speaking from experience). You can select the ones CCleaner identifies as candidates for deletion that you don't want removed.

    I did it!!!!

The panic I was feeling over the posibility of not getting on line forced me to try the ccleaner. I now have 29% free space. I did have 30 but ran the defrag and it took 1%. Not surprising since the files were in bad shape.

THANK YOU ALL SO VERY MUCH FOR THE HELP AND ENCOURAGMENT!!!
I would be so lost without you all!!!

Try Disk Cleanup too! It's near where your Disk Defragmenter is located.
